[clinton supports obama/democrats unite]

This article will be helpful in our website because it discusses Hilary Clinton's efforts to unite the democratic party. She calls for her supporters to shift gears and vote for Obama for the next President. "It's a fight we must win together," she said. I believe this is extremely significant because the two democratic candidates once bumped heads on issues. Now, Clinton is a huge power source behind Barack Obama. This could be a huge influence, positive and negative, on the campaign trail and overall outcome.

[will convention sway independents?]

This article is extremely interesting. It features various individuals of the Independent party and their outlook on the election thus far. In regards to our website, I think it is crucial to include the opinions of independents because they due hold large power in the voting process. The Democrat and Republican parties get the focus in mainstream media. However, I am eager to see how the Independent Party impacts the election. I am also interested to see which factors sway the independent votes.

[michelle & hrc exchange compliments]

Hilary Clinton and Michelle Obama have been exchanging compliments recently as the election heats up. Obama reveals her admiration for Clinton, saying "no one has been more gracious, forthcoming and helpful to me over the last several months than Hillary Clinton." As a female, it is rewarding to see such powerful women uniting for the same cause. I am passionate about including this aspect into our website and how the Hilary Clinton/Michelle Obama relationship develops.

[ireporters applaud Biden]

Being a web-based class, this article is perfect. It discusses i-reporters and their opinions regarding the Democratic Convention. After dedicating our first class to bloggers and internet journalism, I think this article is fitting. It also will help my peers and I become our own i-reporters. Reading this type of story definitely aided my understanding of web journalists and I strongly believe it is necessary to include.

[republicans doubt Obama's experience]

A strategic attack by the Republican party, officials are saying Obama is too inexperienced to be the next President. This link is significant because it reveals the opinion of the Republican party and foreshadows possible future electoral strategies. They are clearly attacking Obama's youth and lack of experience in politics, which may greatly influence voters.

[McCain's Vice Presidential Pick]

The election takes a turn with John's McCain's Vice Presidential pick. The Republican Candidate chose Alaskan Govenor Sarah Palin for his running mate. This is a smart move by McCain because it may gain more female votes. Hilary Clinton feminist supporters could potentially shift their support McCain due to Polin. This article is extremely important because it introduces the possible first female Vice President of the United States.
